Vintage African Mudcloth Pillow, Crosses
Typically found in Mali in Eastern African, mudcloth is a textile created by first dying the rough fabric strips in a tea-stained dye then painting the dried fabric pieces with a mud-based paint in vibrant geometric designs. These pieces of vintage mudcloth were found in an antique shop then lovingly restored and designed into accent pillows by Arabella Taggart, the New York design world’s beloved pillowmaker.
